Reviews
Came to Cork & Pig Tavern for a birthday dinner. The staff was lovely and the host kept checking in on us since we had 2 young kids in our party. This was much appreciated and she made our kids smile. I got the chicken sandwich. Overall, it was quite good but I thought it had a bit too much coleslaw. I felt that was the main thing I was biting into as opposed to the chicken. Otherwise, an overall fantastic experience!
As often as we have been in the vicinity of this restaurant, I can't believe we haven't been before. The restaurant is so nice and spacious. The service was amazing, from the minute we walked in and were kindly greeted, to our sweet waitress and as we excited. The menu has so many amazing options. I have shared with a few friends and they want to go and try it. My husband and I went for lunch and had the deviled eggs and the crabmeat salad to share. I cannot say enough about how delicious the crabmeat salad was. I am very picky about deviled eggs. I do not really like having bacon added, but my husband does like them that way, so I put my bacon on his. I have to say these may be the best deviled eggs I have ever had. They are even better than my own. I love cocktails, but sometimes a mocktail is what is needed. I loved the porch swing mocktail. We will definitely be back to try some of the other delicacies and cocktails.
Our server, Zoe, was so great! Our first time here. Just made happy hour! The beer & wine selection was great. I had the steak salad. 5 oz. filet was melt in your mouth tender with a wine reduction sauce YUM! Hubby had the Fish & Chips. The grease needed to be changed in the fryer but that was our only complaint. We'll be back!
First of all let me start out by saying that this place is amazing! I walked in and was greeted by two gentlemen in suits and was escorted to my table by one of them. I was waiting for my daughter so I got a chance to look around. This restaurant is very upscale, classy and clean. My server came by and I ordered something to drink. Shortly after my daughter arrived. We ordered a crab & Parmesan dip for a starter and it was delicious. For our entree we ordered The Pig and the smoked mozzarella & panchetta pizzas. They were so good! I was very impressed with this place and the awesome way in which we were treated. We'll definitely be back soon to try something else on their menu!!
My mom, daughter and I ate there last night. The service was flawless, and the food was delightful and amazingly delicious. We had the spicy crispy shrimp appetizer, which was to die for. My daughter had the blackened fish tacos with extra spicy mayo, and loved them so much she ate every bit, though, as a teenager, she normally eats like a bird. My mom had the Asian salad, her go to order everywhere, and it was the best we had ever tasted. (I "stole" 1/3rd of her Asian salad, because it was just so spectacular.) I ordered the fish sand chips, and my fish was cooked so perfectly and was so inexorably light, perfectly cooked, crunchy and delicious, I simply had to share a piece with each of us at the table. And there were shoved raves all around. Even the tartar sauce was noteworthy and shockingly tasty, too. We had to order an extra because my mom and sister loved the tartar so much that my daughter dipped the hand made fries in it! We topped the mind-blowing dinner off with an order of beignets, which were scrumptious. And the creamy sweet sauce that accompanied them drew raves. Portions were generous. Prices were right and a great bang for your buck. Ingredients were extremely fresh, and the waitstaff was attentive and willing to help you make any modifications or bring extra sauces the very first time they were asked. (And it was a hopping Friday night crowd.) But the interior is well designed, so, while the place was completely full, you never felt crowded and the noise level was perfectly normal. In other words, it had a terrific ambience. And, as I said, the waitstaff were attentive and on point and so polite, ensuring that everything came out plated just perfectly at a very smooth flow and just the right time. It was an epic and very memorable dinner in that we had 100% sheer delight and enjoyment in our meal, and not one possible complaint. I would highly recommend this restaurant as its menu is quite varied and has something for everyone. (And every surrounding diner looked to be just as thrilled with their amazing food, as well.) We will be back the next time we are in Southlake, and will likely make the trip there from Fort Worth, where we live, specifically just to eat there again and take our friends, my sister and my dad, who weren't with us last night. And deserve to be in on such a treat. Plus, the three of us already cannot wait to go back!
